Hello friends, and welcome to the very first issue of our brand‑new Legacy Group newsletter! March always feels like the moment the year truly begins to take shape – days get brighter, momentum returns, and everything feels ready for a fresh start. That energy feels especially fitting as we launch this newsletter and celebrate the beginning of our newly formed team.
Our goal each month is simple: to keep you informed, inspired, and connected – not just to the real estate market, but to the community we love and the people who make our work so meaningful. We’re thrilled to have you along with us as Legacy Group begins this new chapter.
Personal Update
We are still glowing from our Mahjong Community Night, which we hosted to celebrate the launch of Legacy Group and to say thank you to all of our wonderful clients. What an incredible evening collaborating with Leigh Wasserman of All About Mahjong!
The room was full of energy, laughter, friendly competition, and so many familiar faces. It was the perfect reminder of why we love what we do – this community is full of incredible people who have supported us, referred us, trusted us, and grown alongside us through the years. Being able to say thank you in person meant the world to us.
Each table had a winner who took home fun prizes and Legacy Group swag, and our overall Mahjong champion walked away with the ultimate prize of the night: a giant bottle of vodka! It was a joy-filled celebration, and it set the perfect tone for the exciting year ahead.
Real Estate Update: Is Your Online Home Estimate Accurate?
If you’ve ever peeked at your home’s value on an online platform, you’re not alone – and it’s a great starting point. But when it comes to actual pricing, those automated valuations often miss the mark.
Even strong AI‑driven models typically have error ranges of ±3–5%, which can translate into tens of thousands of dollars. And for unique homes – the kind we see often in Westwood and surrounding towns – algorithms can easily misinterpret architectural features, condition, recent upgrades, or neighborhood characteristics that only a local expert truly understands.
Automated numbers alone can lead to: mispricing that scares away the right buyers, longer days on market, and leaving money (sometimes a lot of money) on the table
That’s where we come in. Human expertise fills the gaps that technology can’t – especially in a market where trends shift quickly at the neighborhood level.
If you’re curious about your home’s true value – not just its online estimate – we’re here to help you price with confidence.
Local Business Spotlight: Decor & More, Westwood
This month, we’re featuring one of our favorite local gems: Decor & More right here in Westwood. If you’ve ever stepped inside, you know it’s the kind of boutique that instantly makes you smile – filled with beautifully curated home décor, seasonal gifts, and unique pieces you won’t find anywhere else.
What makes Decor & More truly special is the way it blends style, personality, and warmth into every corner of the shop. It’s the place we go when we need the perfect housewarming gift, a little refresh for our own spaces, or just a dose of inspiration.
Maggie’s personal favorite? Their Farm & Sea line – especially the perfumes. Light, coastal, and clean, they’re the perfect scent for welcoming spring.
Thank you for reading our first newsletter – and truly, thank you for being part of our community. We look forward to bringing you more local spotlights, market updates, homeowner tips, and personal moments in the months ahead.
If you’re thinking about a move, curious about your home’s value, or simply want to chat about the market, we’re always here and happy to help – no pressure, no obligation.
