Legacy Group Local Loop – May26 Newsletter

Welcome to the May Local Loop

May is a season of momentum — longer days, packed calendars, and a renewed sense of energy throughout our towns. Spring is fully underway, bringing people back outdoors and communities together, and the local real estate market is finding its stride right alongside it. We’re excited to welcome you to the May edition of the Legacy Group Local Loop, where we share what’s happening in the market, around the neighborhood, and in our world at Legacy Group.

Real Estate Update: Strong Demand in Age‑Restricted/Lifestyle Communities

Over the past six months, 45 homes in age‑restricted communities across Norfolk County have come to market, with prices ranging from $290,000 to $1.9 million. Of those homes, 29 have already sold, leaving just 16 currently available — clear evidence of how strong demand remains for this type of housing.

Buyers continue to be drawn to these communities for their lifestyle amenities, low‑maintenance living, and sense of connection, all while benefiting from solid property values. With limited inventory, well‑priced homes are moving quickly, and competition remains steady.

The Legacy Group is actively involved in this niche market. In recent months, we’ve successfully helped buyers secure five homes in age‑restricted communities, and we currently have one active listing in Brookline.

Featured Listing: A Standout Example of Lifestyle Living

17 Fairgreen Place, Unit 17 – Brookline
This beautiful home is a perfect example of the communities driving demand right now. Thoughtfully designed and impeccably maintained, it offers comfort, convenience, and an exceptional lifestyle in a sought‑after setting. Properties like this continue to attract strong interest — and it’s easy to see why.

If you or someone you know is considering this type of living, this listing is absolutely worth exploring.

Personal Update: Pickleball for a Purpose

This month, the Legacy Group had the opportunity to participate in a pickleball tournament for a cause, and it was truly a meaningful experience. The event was organized by the daughter of a close friend, and it brought people together around something bigger than competition — supporting The Chick Mission, an organization dedicated to helping women navigate fertility preservation during cancer treatment.

The day was filled with great energy, friendly matches, and a strong sense of community. It was inspiring to see so many people show up to support such an important mission, and we were honored to take part. While we always enjoy getting out on the court, this event was a powerful reminder of how impactful local fundraising efforts can be when passion and purpose come together.

We’re grateful to have been involved and proud to support a cause that makes a real difference — all while connecting with friends, neighbors, and fellow community members.

Community Spotlight: Westwood Little League

One of the best signs that spring has truly arrived in Westwood is the start of Westwood Little League season on May 2nd. With games and activities gearing up this week, fields across town are about to come alive with practices, cheering families, and the unmistakable excitement of a new season.

Westwood Little League is more than just baseball — it’s a cornerstone of the community, bringing together players, parents, coaches, and volunteers who all contribute to an experience that teaches teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence. Whether you’re heading out to support a player, volunteering, or simply enjoying the buzz around town, it’s always uplifting to see how much pride and heart go into this local program.

Events and traditions like Westwood Little League are a big part of what makes this town such a special place to call home, and we love seeing the community come together around them as another great season gets underway.
