The Local Loop | June 2026 – Westwood Edition

Welcome to the June Local Loop

As members of the Westwood community, we were honored to celebrate the Westwood High School Class of 2026 as they marked this important milestone on May 31st. Graduation is always a meaningful occasion, recognizing years of hard work, growth, and achievement. Seeing students, families, teachers, and friends come together is a powerful reminder of the strong sense of community that makes Westwood such a special place to call home.

We feel incredibly grateful to call Westwood home. This is a community that truly supports one another, from cheering on students at graduations and games to celebrating milestones big and small.

Real Estate Market Update

The Westwood single-family home market continues to show impressive strength, particularly for homes priced under $2 million.

Well-prepared homes in this range are moving quickly, often attracting strong buyer interest within days of hitting the market. We are also seeing a continued rise in off-market and private sales, where buyers and sellers connect before a property is ever publicly listed. These opportunities highlight the importance of local relationships, market expertise, and access that goes beyond the MLS.

Inventory remains tight, with the number of homes listed down nearly 20 percent compared to this time last year. This limited supply continues to support home values and sustain steady buyer demand.

Buyers remain highly motivated to secure a home in one of Greater Boston’s most desirable communities, while sellers continue to benefit from favorable conditions.

If you are curious about your home’s value, current buyer demand, or opportunities that may not yet be public, we are always happy to provide guidance tailored to your goals.

A Personal Note from Our Team

This season has been especially meaningful for both of our families. Between Maggie and me, we are celebrating milestones across every stage of childhood, including a high school graduate, an eighth-grade graduate, and even a kindergarten graduate.

It is a reminder of just how quickly the years pass, and how each stage brings its own mix of pride, excitement, and reflection. Like so many families in Westwood, we are juggling busy schedules filled with school events, sports, celebrations, and all the emotions that come with these transitions.

Experiences like these deepen our connection to the families we work with every day.

This year, we were especially proud to sponsor the annual All-Night Graduation Party, a longstanding tradition that gives graduates a safe and memorable way to celebrate together. Events like these are made possible by the dedication of parents, volunteers, and local businesses who care deeply about this community.

To the Class of 2026, congratulations. We wish you continued success, happiness, and exciting opportunities in the years ahead.

Local Business Spotlight: Pollard’s Test Kitchen

This month, we are highlighting one of our team’s favorite local spots, Pollard’s Test Kitchen.

Known for its fresh, creative menu and welcoming atmosphere, Pollard’s has quickly become a go-to for casual lunches and relaxed gatherings. It is the kind of place that reflects the spirit of Westwood: local, thoughtful, and community-focused.

A few of our personal favorites:

  • Tomato, basil, and mozzarella salad
  • Turkey Cado sandwich

If you have not stopped in yet, it is well worth a visit.

Whether you are celebrating a graduation, welcoming a new addition to your family, downsizing after the kids leave home, or searching for the right place to begin your next chapter, these moments shape what home truly means.

We are honored to help guide our clients through these transitions with care, knowledge, and a deep understanding of the Westwood community.

Here’s to celebrating every milestone, big and small, and to the incredible community we are fortunate to be part of.
